BNR Finance Debate: bridging the gap between politics and finance

News Politics

The November 22 House of Representatives elections are approaching. For DUFAS an important moment to strengthen our advocacy and to strengthen ties with politicians. Therefore, we traditionally organized an election debate together with the Dutch Banking Association (NVB) and the Dutch Association of Venture Capital Companies (NVP).

Political parties debate key issues for industry

In collaboration with media partner BNR, candidates Eelco Heinen (VVD), Eddy van Hijum (NSC), Hans Vijlbrief (D66), Inge van Dijk (CDA) and Tom van der Lee (GL/PvdA), led by Diana Matroos, entered into a debate with each other during the BNR Finance Debate on various issues affecting the financial sector.

Part of the debate focused on how politics and the financial sector can work together to address the major challenges of our time. How can the financial sector help accelerate the energy transition? What is the relationship between politics and the financial sector? Another important theme that was discussed at length was the Dutch business climate.
