The formation is underway. Formateur Buma is in talks with D66 and CDA to arrive at a substantive agenda for the remainder of the formation. Recently we sent a letter with our input for the formation table. This is in line with the earlier letter we wrote in the run-up to the elections.
We share the need to work on major societal transitions in areas such as sustainability, housing, nitrogen and security. The solutions to these challenges are complex. To make solutions possible, capital is needed for investment. The private sector can play a role here. To this end, we make four recommendations:
- Simplify regulations.
- Role of supervisors.
- Strengthen public-private financing.
- Improve household purchasing power.
We hope that D66 and CDA will soon make the first push for a forward-looking policy agenda.
