Every two years, DUFAS appoints new chairs for its committees.
We are proud to announce that all three current committee chairs have had their terms extended for two years effective Oct. 1.
- Judith Boom (Senior Legal Counsel at APG Asset Management) continues to chair the Fund Regulation & Investment Services (FRIS) Committee..
- Hilde Veelaert (Partner & Chief Investment Officer Public Markets at Cardano) continues to chair the Sustainability Committee.
- Marc Steinbusch (Executive Director & Head Robeco Group Fiscal Affairs at Robeco) remains chairman of the Tax Committee.
From DUFAS we are very pleased that these experienced specialists will continue to lead the committees for the next two years. The chairpersons play an important role in determining the substantive agenda and ensure that DUFAS, and thus the sector, can effectively and constructively promote the common interests towards policymakers and regulators. We asked the reappointed chairs how they look to their upcoming term.
Judith Boom:
"First of all, I am very excited to continue as FRIS committee chair for two more years. For the next term, I am excited to continue building on the solid foundation we have already established. One of my main goals is to continue to facilitate good dialogue among members and, together with the DUFAS team, ensure strong advocacy for our industry."
Marc Steinbusch:
"It is with great curiosity and fresh enthusiasm that I look forward to the upcoming term. There are a number of interesting and challenging files before the Tax Committee. Think about the interpretation of the tax framework around the FGR and limited partnerships, the proposal for the refund of dividend tax for Dutch taxpayers investing through foreign investment funds and the EU regulations around the VAT exemption for financial services. It is very nice and valuable to be able to contribute to this."
Hilde Veelaert:
"I look forward to renewing my commitment to the sustainable transition in this new term as president to make a positive impact on our society."
