In November, the European Commission announced the "Omnibus proposal." From DUFAS, we drafted a position statement on this. For a sustainable economy, access to reliable data is essential.
Only with the right information can investors make responsible choices and fulfill clients' sustainability preferences. Therefore, it is crucial to maintain the ambitions of the European Sustainable Finance Framework. But regulations must be workable. Unnecessary complexity and double reporting burdens - for example for asset managers - can and should be avoided. Within EFAMA, we have successfully advocated this to the CSRD. In our statement we therefore advocate simplification where possible, without compromising sustainable ambitions.
