In late February, the European Commission published the "Omnibus I" package, which includes proposals to simplify the sustainable finance framework. The proposals include CSRD reporting and CSDD due diligence legislation. From DUFAS, we have prepared a position statement on this.
Our main message is that access to reliable data is essential for a sustainable economy and sustainable investments. Only with the right information can investors make responsible choices and fulfill clients' sustainability preferences. It is therefore crucial that the proposals clearly align with the ambitions of the European Sustainable Finance Framework. It is also important that all elements within the sustainable finance framework are well aligned. Therefore, we advocate that the review of the SFDR should also be included in the proposals for simplification.
