DUFAS processes personal data. In this privacy statement, we answer the most important questions about DUFAS' processing of personal data.
From whom does DUFAS process personal data?
DUFAS processes personal data of people with whom we have, intend to have or have had a relationship. This includes data from:
- Employees of DUFAS;
- Employees of DUFAS member organizations;
- Or individuals associated with a company or organization with which we have, intend to have, or have had a relationship.
Who is responsible for processing my personal data?
The statutory director of DUFAS is responsible for processing your personal data.
What does DUFAS process personal data for?
Using personal data, we can properly invite individuals to activities, inform them or support them in their work. We also need personal data for newsletters. Data can also be used for promotional or marketing purposes, for example for conferences organized by third parties. If people no longer wish to be contacted for these purposes, they can indicate this by clicking 'unsubscribe' at the bottom of an e-mail. DUFAS also takes photos and videos during its activities to be used for publication via digital newsletters and social media platforms. For publication of these, we ask permission from the people in the images. Finally, there are practical matters for which we process data. For example, to support administrative processes around membership fees.
Retention of personal data
DUFAS actively uses, manages and cleans the name and address information of individuals for conference invitations and newsletters in a database. Once a year, a general check of the database is performed and individuals who are still in our database without permission are removed.
Right of inspection
You have the right to access, rectify or delete personal data. You can request this by sending an e-mail to info@dufas.nl or a letter with the request to our postal address. If you receive information via MailChimp, you can do so via the instructions in the footer of MailChimp.
Right to complain to Personal Data Authority
You have the right to file a complaint with the Personal Data Authority if you believe that DUFAS has improperly handled your personal data.
